Skipping school for coffee?

(WARNING THIS POST IS PRETTY LONG)
Hey whomever may be reading! wow, I haven't posted in a while and it truly stresses me out that I have not because, although, yes I never post this blog is something that means a lot to me. I do try to post but its hard because school and work have taken over my life! Anyways, enough of me blabbing about that lets go on to what this post is all about..So, Friday I skipped school to go off to Montrose and Downtown Houston with my awesome friend Xavier and we had a blast. When we're down there we usually go to the same cafes but we decided to try two new ones and they were awesome. We first went to TOUT SUIT which is a cafe located in the downtown area of Houston and lets just say I fell in love after having their Churro cupcake.

The cashier was vegetarian like me so she helped me pick out what to eat since sadly TOUT SUIT doesn't have many vegan/vegetarian options. The sprouts were so good and crispy they tasted just like potatoes to me. I also got a latte because you can never go wrong with one. Thanks TOUT SUIT, I will definitely be coming back and not just because the churro cupcake but also because the staff was also very sweet!
Also, they had a lot of cute random art outside, which I really enjoyed!

Xavier outside of TOUT SUIT looking fresh as always!

After our awesome time at TOUT SUIT we went to the Chase Tower, which is located in Downtown Houston and about 75 floors high the elevator ride is a bit scary, at least for me, but once you make it to the top it's so worth it because you get an amazing view of Houston.

The view was so beautiful Xavier and I had to take a minute to grasp it all because it was just so amazing. After we visited the Chase Tower we made our way to the Lawndale Art Center.

While admiring the art we ran into the artist herself! her name was Jooyoung Choi, she was incredibly sweet and talked to Xavier and I about what inspired her to make these pieces. Choi stated that most of the art was based on an imaginary world and also growing up and seeing no other people who looked like her on TV. I left the conversation feeling so inspired and happy it was so great not just seeing this incredible art but meeting the amazing person behind it.
Xavier snapped this pick of me on 2nd floor of Lawndale.

We then headed out to another cafe called Inversion and I got a Lavender Latte!

After Inversion we stopped by a flower shop and I bought some flowers that reminded me of my favorite artists. Soon after that stop we went on a hunt for some wall art, then happened to wonder off to the top floor of a parking garage, which gave us an amazing view of Houston. We snapped some picks and then jammed out to drake on full blast where we stayed for about 10-15 minutes, then as we were leaving we noticed they had locked the parking garage so we had to call an emergency line to come get us out...we were stuck in that parking garage for almost 2 hours as we waited we got attacked by 2 flying beatles...at the time it was a horrific experience but once we were finally free thinking about it made us laugh! lets just say Friday was really great! here are some more shots from that day..

If you made it through this really long post you rock! I hope who ever actually is reading this enjoyed this super long post!!! Lots of love,
Lydia.
